Special object - Light

Editor uses two types of lights - Omni and Spot. Both types are static, which means all of their settings and transformations remain constant during the game.

A single object can be lit only by the maximum of 8 light sources. This number also includes dynamic lights and sector light settings.



Omni light radiates its rays from a point source to all directions.


Spot light casts a cone of light.

Basic properties in the Properties tab

Entity name object name shown in the editor


Clip Distance distance in meters within which the object is drawn
Current sets the current distance between camera and the object center


Disable light switches the light on/off
Light color click here to open the color selection dialog,
pressing Shift and right-clicking on a color acts as an eyedropper


Radius ray length
Const. attenuation constant multiplier
Linear attenuation multiplier, value of which approximates zero with increasing distance
Both multipliers add up.


Inner angle inner angle of the spotlight, within which the light is cast with constant intensity
Outer angle outer angle of the spotlight - the light brightness gradually diminishes toward the cone edges


Shadows switches shadow calculation according to lights
Realtime shadows not supported yet
SHM shadows switch for shadow tree calculation for players and dynamic objects
Use sector affiliation turns association of lights with sectors on/off,
If the light is not associated with any sector or if this switch is off, the light affects all sectors


Set/Add opens the dialog for sector association
Remove cancels associations with selected sectors
